Longys
The classic long spear. Crunchy, sour and built for snacking straight from the tub.
we ferment hard, we pickle even harder
Pickling is the whole point. Every jar, tub and glass of pickle lemonade starts life in our basement on Bristol Road, Kemptown.
down in the basement
While the counter upstairs is busy with sandwiches, the basement is full of brine. Cucumbers go in fresh, get time to do their thing, and come out as the pickles that end up in our sandwiches, in your lemonade and in tubs to take home.
It's a proper small-batch operation. When a batch is gone, it's gone until the next one, so if you spot your favourite in the fridge, grab it. Want to see what they end up in? Have a look at our sandwiches and focaccias.
check that fridge!
Our regular line-up of "pickly bits", made fresh in batches and sold in tubs from the shop fridge. Perfect for your own sandwiches, a picnic on the beach or eating straight from the tub (no judgement).

Big chunky pieces for anyone who likes a proper bite in their pickle.
Sharp, bright and very good on the side of a sandwich.
The one that surprises people. Sweet, tangy and a bit unexpected.
the cult classic
Pickle juice and lemon over ice. It's tangy, salty, a little sweet and far more refreshing than it has any right to be.
It's the drink people film for TikTok, the one they come back for, and the one we once swapped for cucumbers at a sock shop. Have it with a pickle sausage roll for the full experience.
Come Try Onebring your own cucumber
To launch our pickle socks with Brighton's sock people Socktopus, we popped up in their shop with pickles hanging from the ceiling and swapped cucumbers for free pickle lemonade. Someone even brought us a cucumber salad.
That's the kind of thing that happens round here. See more in Pickle Life, our photo diary.

It is lemonade made with actual pickle juice and lemon. It sounds strange, but it is sharp, salty-sweet and weirdly refreshing. It is our signature drink.
Yes. We make fresh batches of house pickles (longys, chonks, onions and watermelon) and keep them in the fridge in the shop, so grab a tub on your way out.
Right here, in the basement under the shop on Bristol Road. We spend whole days down there making fresh batches for the week ahead.
see you on Bristol Road
